Welcome to Urban Repairing ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website (urban-repairing.com) and our doorstep diagnosis, maintenance, and repair services for treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bikes, and fitness equipment. By scheduling an inspection or engaging our technicians, you agree to comply with and be bound by the terms outlined below.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By scheduling an appointment via call, WhatsApp, or our online booking form, or by permitting our technicians onto your premises, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not book our services.

2. Doorstep Services Provided

Urban Repairing provides on-site diagnostic, troubleshooting, repair, and scheduled preventative maintenance services for residential and commercial fitness machinery, including:

  • Motorized and manual treadmills (PCB boards, drive motors, running decks, and belts)
  • Elliptical cross trainers (magnetic resistance, flywheels, drive belts, and pedal cranks)
  • Exercise bikes, spin bikes, and recumbent cycles
  • Multi-station gym equipment, cable pulleys, weight stacks, and benches

3. Inspection Charges & Pricing Policy

  • Visiting & Inspection Fee: A baseline doorstep inspection fee starting at ₹400 applies to all diagnostic visits. This fee may increase based on travel distance, transit tolls, or service locations situated outside our central service zones.
  • Estimate & Approval: Following equipment diagnosis, the technician will provide an estimated breakdown of labor and required spare parts. Repair work will proceed only after verbal or written approval from the customer.
  • Fee Application: The inspection fee covers diagnostic time, travel, and technician assessment. If the customer elects not to proceed with the recommended repair, or if parts are discontinued/unrepairable, the visiting fee remains payable upon completion of the inspection.

4. Payment Terms

  • All dues—including inspection fees, repair labor, and procurement costs of spare parts—must be settled immediately upon completion of the service visit.
  • Accepted payment modes include UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), Net Banking, Credit/Debit cards, or Cash.
  • Spare parts requiring special factory ordering or custom fabrication may require full or partial advance payment prior to procurement.

5. Spare Parts & Warranty Terms

  • Labor & Service Warranty: We offer a 30-day service warranty on the specific labor and workmanship performed during our visit.
  • Spare Parts Warranty: Warranties on replaced components (such as treadmill motors, PCB control cards, drive belts, bearings, or cables) depend entirely on the specific spare part, manufacturer specifications, and OEM supplier terms. Certain electrical components or consumables carry limited or manufacturer-only warranty coverage, which will be disclosed prior to installation.
  • Warranty Exclusions: Warranties strictly cover recurring defects of the specific part replaced or repaired by our technician. Warranties do not apply to:
    • Subsequent issues arising on unrelated components or circuits
    • Damage resulting from power surges, high voltage, short circuits, or ungrounded electrical sockets
    • Normal wear-and-tear, water exposure, rusting, or lack of recommended lubrication
    • Tampering, dismantling, or adjustments attempted by the customer or third-party electricians

6. Equipment Safety, Electrical Integrity & Liability Waiver

  • Post-Repair Trial & Handover: The customer (or an authorized representative) is required to test and operate the machine in the technician's presence for a 5-minute operational check prior to formal sign-off. Signing off on the job confirms satisfactory operational status at handover.
  • Pre-Existing Electrical & Structural Flaws: High-draw fitness equipment requires stable electrical supply and proper grounding. Urban Repairing is not liable for blown fuses, tripped breakers, or internal circuit damage caused by faulty domestic wiring, absent earthing, or power fluctuations in the customer's property.
  • Safety & Weight Capacities: The customer assumes full responsibility for operating fitness equipment strictly in accordance with original manufacturer weight capacities and safety guidelines. Urban Repairing is not liable for personal bodily injury, physical accidents, or machine failure resulting from improper workout posture, overloading, or equipment misuse.
  • Premises Safety: Customers must ensure a clean, safe, well-lit workspace free of hazards, children, and pets during technician servicing. An adult over the age of 18 must remain present throughout the service duration.

7. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Customers may cancel or reschedule a confirmed booking free of charge by notifying us via phone or WhatsApp at least 2 hours before the technician departs for the location.
  • If a cancellation occurs after the technician has arrived at your address, standard travel and visiting charges will apply.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Urban Repairing and its independent service contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from equipment downtime, loss of gym membership revenue, or delay in spare part shipping. Our cumulative aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the actual service fee paid by the customer for the specific job in question.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes, claims, or legal actions arising from our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent civil courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
